Who Is Shape Your World

Who We Are, What We Do, and Why We Do It.

Shape Your World Society (SYWS) is a Non-Profit Organization whose mission is to help women and their families. Since its inception in January 17th, 2011, “Shape Your World Society” has helped hundreds of women do exactly what the name suggests (Grow, Evolve, Empower); providing women with the tools to take charge and wrestle back more control over their lives by looking and feeling better about themselves. This enables them to become better people and face the world and their families with greater hope and confidence.

The goal is to empower and restore emotional confidence in women. And to educate and inspire their development with the sum total of our knowledge, experience, expertise and resources. The Shape Your World Society Board is run by a group of amazing women (volunteers, staff, past challengers and sponsors) who work tirelessly throughout the year to provide the TOTAL MAKEOVER CHALLENGE that is offered in Online.

Our Guiding Principles and How We Get Things Done.

The purposes of the Society are:

To educate and support the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of women and their families through workshops, seminars, and programs which shall include:

A 20 week makeover program that includes nutritional information education, fitness education, financial literacy and personal growth opportunities.
Weekend seminars for overall wellbeing
Weekend seminars for personal / career goals
Health & nutrition workshops
Family safety programs
Personal growth seminars
1. To solicit, receive, control, administer and distribute funds and gifts
2. To provide financial assistance for those unable (low income families) to participate in growth opportunities in the seminars and workshops we provide.
3. To own and dispose of property, both real and personal

In the event of the winding up or dissolution of the Society its funds and assets remaining after the satisfaction of its debts and liabilities shall be given or transferred to an organization with similar purposes pursuant to section 149(1)(f) or (l) of the Income Tax Act (CDN).

Notwithstanding clause 2 of the Constitution, all purposes shall be organized and operated exclusively on a non-profit basis.
No Director or Officer shall be remunerated for being or acting as a Director or Officer, but a Director or Officer may be reimbursed for all expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred by him while engaged in the affairs of the Society.

No part of the income of the Society shall be payable or otherwise available for the personal benefit of any proprietor, member, Director, Officer or shareholder.
